BREAKING: On day after @KyrstenSinema’s infamous speech defending the filibuster, 70+ Arizona Democratic women leaders release this open letter calling on @EmilysList—Sinema’s #1 contributor—to “immediately make a public demand to Senator Sinema to support ending the filibuster.”

Signers include former city councilmembers and current members of the Arizona Democratic Party executive committee.

The letter, organized through the Arizona Coalition to End the Filibuster, challenges one of the most influential Democratic organizations that still backs Sinema.

EL is a collective group who influences policies, funding & endorsements.

The women of Emily's List have spoken.

Wishes of constituents had no effect on the voting records of their elected officials. I wish I could provide you with a link, but it was pretty eye opening.

My experience is that Emily's List is built around the theory that more elected women is better than fewer.

7. Sinema & Manchin are likely going down in history as the 2 most hated Dems in at least the last half

century or more.

Also, I wager EL will respond, all your dismissive banter aside.

9. Zel Miller and Joe Lieberman should be included on that list

I think our collective memories on these two have faded, but I think it wise to include those two just for the record.

past by Manchin and Sinema, especially if:

1 No voter bills passed

2 No BBB Act passed

3 Massive Red Wave in 2022, we lose the House, the Senate and numerous state-wide offices (including key Dem Governors who are safety checks on Rethug controlled chambers at statehouse levels) amplified by Rethugs supressing, gerrymandering, etc (things that the voters bills would have stopped)

4 In 2024, we fail to take back either chamber and we also lose POTUS (extra bonus hate n' rage points it we lose due to nefarious means, especially if Trump or some other shitheel fascist is installed as POTUS due to insanity like popular vote-selected slates of electors are replaced by Rethugs state legislatures' overriding them, etc etc etc)

That above is all a linear line that goes back to Coal & Curtsy blowing up our party and the national in general. The damage Miller and Lieberman ever did pales in comparison.
