Unless you're an old geezer like me, you may not know this song. Dennis Day had a #1 hit with "Clancy Lowers the Boom" in 1947. It's probably the first song I learned to sing as a toddler. You can hear the original at the bottom of this post. Here's my parody version of it, brought up to date. Sing along with me:

I remember my father, who COULD NOT sing, bellow out "Clancy Lowered the Boom" and a hundred other songs, usually on Saturdays or while he was driving.
