Don't let McConnell fool us with the Electoral Vote.

The Red States are rigging things so they can give their Electoral Votes to whomever the Legislatures want. They are suppressing votes and gutting local Election Boards.
This Electoral Vote Law compromise will only make it impossible for Congress to do anything about these States overturning the will of their voters.
It is a Trojan Horse, not a compromise.
And it WILL scuttle any legislation that will address the anti-democracy agenda the GOP is engaged in.
It is far from "better than nothing".

He is for a change to voting rights to eliminate the possibility of congress objecting to the electors that the (republican) legislature sends, even if they disagree with the popular vote of the states

I can't believe that many Dems, including people here, think this is a compromise we should take.

I hope Dems don’t fall for it. This change by itself will be a disaster. He IS willing to require I’d and such to try to ensure a popular republican win.

If they can still suppress your vote, categorize your vote as 'illegitimate', takeover the fraudulent counting of the votes, what good is SOME modification of the Electoral Count Act?

Closing the barn door after the Fascists have escaped.

I was merely addressing the policy ramifications, but the political angle is blatant as well.
