Excellent explanation of why Republicans are winning despite being outnumbered by Democrats — and our democracy is failing. Worth 02:17 minutes of your time!

NEW WHITEBOARD

(most important yet, so please watch/share)

The two sides of today’s battle view/approach the battle very differently. A major reason that those supporting democracy keep losing

Until the pro-democracy side sees this, the results won’t change

something that entirely benefits the oligarchs/1%.
The republicans control 30 state legislatures. 34 are needed to call a Constitutional Convention and potentially rewrite the Constitution, turning the US into a de facto christofascist nation.

This is where we are headed unless progressives can stop it.

But this is the first time I have heard Mr.Harrison speak out on this issue...why is his message not being shouted from the rooftops?

All you old experienced Party workers, please help to understand - has this message reached you? Thanks in advance.

I think part of it is simply that their base is more consistent in voting in every election than our base is.

I think Democrats are doing well. Our problem is the appointments made by TFG, a pair of bought off senators, and some governors that seem to like trying to outdo each other with citizen misery. This is amplified, however by the media.

I am confidant that once the Jan 6 committee hearings become televised and more information is made public about just how close we came to a successful coup (and the active cover-up since) Democrats will become extremely motivated to defend our nation and democracy. We will fight back by voting en masse.

Once we secure majorities in both the House and Senate and some State victories we will move ahead whatever of Biden's agenda is stalled.

We can and we will.

Media--take note.

But the media and the majority of Americans will ignore the Jan 6th Committee, haven "moved on". And the GOP will retake Congress next year because the Democrats "didn't do anything". Also untrue, but that will be the narrative.

We will rise to the occasion.

I think the televised hearings and all the various investigations and indictments will have Americans riveted, but not all happy about it. I think most Americans are on the right side, err...left side actually, of it all. We will not give up.

Most of America will yawn, and it won't move the voters needle.
Sorry, if you think this will turn the election this year, you are in for a big disappointment.
Manchin and Simena will still stop any reform and the Country will lose to the GOP fascists.

They are part of the current political landscape, and they are helping to block Biden's agenda. If we ignore the political reality, it will be at our own peril.

"If we ignore the political reality, it will be at our own peril."
The righties among us (the country) are soaked in misinformation and not likely to change. They are also the ones hardest hit during the current pandemic. Democrats and some others are paying attention to coming indictments and televised hearings. We are well aware of what is at stake and will fight. When we show up to vote we win.

Their day to day struggles for basics are far removed from the abstractions of the "news" and politics and voting.

Besides the large majority of Dem constituents NOT VOTING, some who *do* vote against their own interests. So despite all the attention we give to how the wingnuts exert themselves on voter suppression, the suppression is far less impactful than our own non-voting and voting against self-interest.

If every eligible voter voted, there would not be a Repuke in office anywhere.

An old saw is that Libs look inward for root causes to fix while wingnuts look outward for whom to blame. In this case, our looking inward finds we need to fix our messaging and outreach, more than on the wingnuts.
