Jews are a minority but during terrorist attacks they specifically target jews like in France and India.

And right now with the hostage situation. There are far more churches in the US , especially in Texas but they go after the Jews.

Lot of Christian on Christian violence in American history also, and around the world…witness the church killings and burnings recently and throughout history.

Muslim on Muslim violence, witness Al Queda, mortal enemies of the Taliban…etc…etc..

That is just foolish.
It started when formerly tolerant Muslims became fundamentalist and they used Isrwal and the Palestinian plight to consolidate power.

The Jewish exodus from Arab and Muslim countries, or Jewish exodus from Arab countries, was the departure, flight, expulsion, evacuation and migration of 850,000 Jews,[1][2] primarily of Sephardi and Mizrahi background, from Arab countries and the Muslim world, mainly from 1948 to the early 1970s. The last major migration wave took place from Iran in 1979–80, as a consequence of the Iranian Revolution.

Try to blame any of this on Jewish Zionism and British imperialism! And this doesn't even touch on the history of atrocities against Jews in the Muslim lands in the 20th century.
Which makes me curious: what is your definition of "fairly well tolerated"? Killing and expelling Jews in their hundreds instead of millions?

BTW, It was the United Nations that established Israel as a Jewish state. Just so you know.

In reality we can see changing periods, and it depends on the place and time, and historical circumstances. We can say clearly that Jews enjoyed much greater tolerance under Islam than under Christianity. until the modern period. More than that, except for few cases, there waere no forced conversions of Jews, except for Iran and in Morocco in the 11th century, and we hardly saw any physical attacks on Jews. In this regard Islam as a religion, or the Muslim world, was much better toward Jews than Christianity. In fact Jews historically regarded Islam or the Muslim kingdoms as what they called "Malkhut Khesed", that is "righteous kingdom". Jews emigrated from Christian countries to Islam. For instance if we look at the 15th century, when there was the mass expulsion of Jews from Spain, the Ottoman Empire, the largest Muslim empire at the time, opened its gates toward the Jews, welcomed the Jews, and tens of thousands of Jews moved to the Ottoman Empire where they enjoyed great tolerance and autonomy, and Jews were very grateful to the Ottomans.

When you have a choice between being annihilated by bigots with impunity and being slapped around by bigots with impunity, I wonder what you would choose.

Somehow "enjoyed much greater tolerance" doesn't sound right.

the Muslim equivalent of Christofascists, basically. I've been studying Islam recently, and everything these idiots are doing is antithetical to the teachings of Muhammad, just as what Christofascists do is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus. Too bad Muhammad didn't promise to come back, although he did promise a judgment day, and these guys will (literally) catch hell.

25. Anti-Semitism in antiquity
Sat Jan 15, 2022, 08:04 PM
Jan 2022

This correlates some of what I postulated above.

"Some scholars would look to the pre-Christian world and see in the attitudes of ancient Greeks and Romans the origins of an enduring hostility. Religious Studies scholar Peter Schäfer believes the exclusive nature of the monotheistic Jewish faith, the apparent haughty sense of being a chosen people, a refusal to intermarry, a Sabbath observance and the practice of circumcision were all things that marked Jews out in antiquity for a particular odium.

Finding examples of hostility towards Jews in classical sources is not difficult. The politician and lawyer Cicero, 106-43BC, once reminded a jury of “the odium of Jewish gold” and how they “[stick together]” and are “influential in informal assemblies”. The Roman historian Tacitus, c.56-120AD, was contemptuous of “base and abominable” Jewish customs and was deeply disturbed by those of his compatriots who had renounced their ancestral gods and converted to Judaism. The Roman poet and satirist Juvenal, c.55-130AD, shared his disgust at the behavior of converts to Judaism besides denouncing Jews generally as drunken and rowdy.

These few examples may point towards the existence of antisemitism in antiquity. But there is little reason to believe that Jews were the objects of a specific prejudice beyond the generalized contempt that both Greeks and Romans exhibited towards “barbarians” – especially conquered and colonized peoples. Juvenal was every bit as rude about Greeks and other foreigners in Rome as he was about Jews. He complained bitterly: “I cannot stand … a Greek city of Rome. And yet what part of the dregs comes from Greece?” Once the full extent of Juvenal’s prejudice has been recognized, his snide remarks about Jews might be understood as being more indicative of an altogether more sweeping xenophobia."

Muslims and Christians both have gone on to attempt to convert or kill the blasphemers.
