We have two grocery stores locked in a brutal battle which helps. I did score 10# of rump roast at $3/lb. It was a little fatty but good for slow cooking and even trimmed up for steak and stew meat. Pretty good skinless chicken breast at $2.80/lb.

Vegetable prices aren't really that bad. I eat a lot of fresh vegetables. Colored bell peppers of a nice size at $1.25/ea. Zucchini and summer squash at around $1.00/lb. Eggs aren't too bad. Romaine lettuce has held its price for years. Same for mushrooms.

Spending quite a bit less on food etc since I eliminated diet soda and fast food.

1059.60. Food stamps were raised 25%. If you were getting 100 in food stamps, you now get 125/ month.

Medicare went up. .but that is okay, because you got more SS.

So, hey, the people down here are clearly swimming in money tht is desperately needed by the billionaires and m/pic.
