https://edition.cnn.com/2022/01/16/politics/charles-mcgee-dies-tuskegee-airmen/index.htmlBrig. Gen. Charles McGee, one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, died Sunday morning in his sleep, according to a family spokesman. He was 102.
"McGee was a living legend known for his kind-hearted, and humble nature, who saw positivity at every turn," the family said in the statement. "He spent the last half century inspiring future generations to pursue careers in aviation, but equally important, he encouraged others to be the best they could be, to follow their dreams, and to persevere through all challenges."

(21,174 posts)Called the Prometheans. They used to have these great conventions that went for 4 days every year in DC and numerous other cities. My Dad even hosted the Promethean group in San Francisco in 1975. One year at our convention the Tuskegee airmen were also having their convention in the same Hotel . I met several of these gentlemen. But my Dads group were fanboying on the Tuskegee airmen. When we had our final dinner all men in my Dads group talked about was they met the Tuskegee airmen!
