Difference between (D)s and (R)s

Democrats: "I used to think that Americans were intelligent, well-informed, politically savvy people who knew the difference between devoted public servants and self-serving grifters, and who understood that democracy requires vigilance, nurturing, and participation, along with a sense of patriotism that includes protecting our nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

Republicans: "I used to think."

Now I just reflexively follow along with whatever helps the right wing rich and hurts the working class/poor.

Is that the new paradigm, the new dialectic that ushers in fascism? Asking because they are generating energy off it. And we must confront it.

They Democrat statement about Americans had been made prior to seeing the people in Arizona last Saturday. Nothing in that paragraph depicts a single idiot at that KKKlan hootenanny.

that I respected, even though I disagreed with them. Occasionally, on some issues, I actually did agree with them, although not often. I respected the person, not the policies. I respected John McCain's integrity, for example, and his military service.

There were even conservative journalists that I respected, although I almost never agreed with them, like George Will.

But today, there are no conservative journalists that I can respect. They aren't really even true conservatives.

Liz Cheney appears to have some integrity, but, while I am glad that she serves on the Select Committee, and has the courage to speak publicly about the coup attempt, I believe that she is more motivated by a desire to turn her party's control back to her daddy's form of corporate power control than by patriotism.

Democrats believe poor people have too little, and rich people have too much.

Republicans believe poor people have too much, and rich people have too little.

Democrats have great ideas that will move the country forward to make it a much better place for everyone. They are also totally inept at getting anything done and cave on everything.
Republicans are fascists who want to crush the poor, give more money to the rich, are hateful, misogynistic, xenophobic bigots who will turn the USA into a theocratic, right-wing hell-hole. They are also great at getting their agenda passed and getting elected.
Take-away: our country is doomed.

About how to overthrow our Government and install IQ4.5 as king, that and tax cuts for the richest people.
Did I need this?
