The Trump cult cannot believe that Joe Biden got 12 million more votes than anyone in history.

And 7 million more than Donald Trump.

After all, Donald Trump got about 10 million more than any Republican in history and 5 million more than any Democrat had ever gotten. How could he lose if the Democrats did not cheat? It is hard for them to believe that Biden got the number of votes that he got. They refuse to believe any evidence.

Without the huge threat that voters felt from Donald Trump, and the new ways for people to vote, Donald Trump may well have won the last election. Donald Trump was so feared by the general population that an army came out to vote against him.

But they were legal votes. It was one of the most observed and accurate elections in history, according to the experts and the Secretarys of State in all the states where the votes were questioned by Trump.

How could that be, they ask? Trump had huge crowds at his rallies and Biden had very few? It never seemed to occur to them that we were in the midst of a worldwide pandemic and many Americans looked at them as passionate members of a cult but reckless and thoughtless about their fellow Americans. It did not prove what they thought it proved.

It was a surprise that so many people voted, especially for the sociopath. But the people spoke.

And the cult did not like what they said.

That these people can at one and the same time believe:

1.) They love Trump most of all because everyone they hate and fear hates him and he admittedly does nothing to pander to anyone else to expand his base of voters rather he intentionally repels and offends them.
2.) They know on a very gut level that their percentage of the American population is declining. They fear the loss of privilege and fight desperately against the expansion of voting rights to other demographics.

And yet...

3.) They are shocked that someone else could have gotten more votes...

...uhmm stop the steal...?

7 million more than TFG and 14 million more than anyone in history? Does that mean more than any previous election, not the 2020 election where they state only 7 million more than trump?

I pointed out to a cousin of mine that in 2016 Trump won four swing states by less than 80,000 votes. That's 80K between all four states, not 80K per state. And some of those states went for Obama in 2012. So, it's not a stretch that an historically unpopular president lost those states in the next election. And none of them can answer how the ballots were valid for elected congressional republicans, but the same ballots were also fraudulent for the presidential race.

All they know is their adulation.

They've got major blinders on; can't see the blind spot in the mirror: Donald Trump posed an existential threat to our democracy and Americans responded in numbers never before seen to catapult him out of governance.

The oxygen that Republicans breathe is comprised of ego.

The former guy lost two elections by a total of more than 10 million votes, yet the media keep harping on this narrative that he's an unstoppable electoral juggernaut, rather than the favorite of a diminishing fringe element that wields far more influence in the Republican party than is warranted.

I was slightly encouraged when nobody stepped up to cover his prospective January 6 showboating. But then they all covered his re-hashed nonsense in Arizona over the weekend, as if there was something newsworthy in yet another Groundhog Day Gripefest.

They knew Trump would bring the loons (that the GOP has been placating and hiding away for decades) out for all to see.

His rally wasn’t carried by Fox and I read that WaPo ignored it and the New York Times did a “Cletus Safari “ story on it and that’s about it.

It was never even close. They kept thinking the Supreme Court would give them the election the way they got it in 2000. Republicans have completely forgotten what elections are for. Which is to determine the will of the people. Apparently they don’t want to know what the will of the people is

But both sides packed a lot more voters to the polls so obviously people felt strongly this last time. But I think a lot of rethugs were still letting trump have a pass even if they didn’t really like him. Jan 6 and his actions since have turned off even many rethugs. If he is the 2024 R candidate (which I don’t think he will be), many off them might just stay home just throw their vote to some alternate candidate. Do rethugs get many of those? Dems seem to have them more often. Or maybe we’ll see some independent throw their hat in the ring. Let’s hope they don’t just not enter a vote for president and leave it blank. I’m sure many trumpers working in the polls would be happy to add their check mark for them.

especially women.

so where did the 11 M extra trump votes come from?

Rural voters... voters that used to vote Dem but somehow decided that Trump was so much better than a middle of the road Democrat?

Some ethnic voter block?

Or did Russia actually hack some of the voting systems, just not enough to elect Trump again... and maybe THAT is why Trump thinks he should have won... Putin told him he would win.

The GOP vastly exceeded expectations down to the local level. HE lost and he lost because he repulsed the people. Voting was as easy (and accurate) as it should have been. It’s not just the personal failure that burns where he’d normally have a soul it’s also that he was the only one left out of the party. The cult will feed his ego anyway he wants them to. They can’t fathom that anyone isn’t as in love with him as they are.

Tue Jan 18, 2022, 01:28 PM

Believed then and believe now that they are the majority, the real Americans. If that were the case Trump should have won everywhere, they insist. You enter that mindset then the easiest explanation is 2020 voting fraud turning the tables.

Republican pols have encouraged this thinking for their own advantage, thereby implementing all kinds of barriers to free elections at the state level. The vast majority know better but they've set aside their ethics and morality to appeal to the mob and ensure their own reelection and resumption of power. They enjoy the deep pockets of foreign and domestic donors.

The sad irony is that Trump's voters squeal about individual freedom yet are all too eager to surrender that freedom to an authoritarian regime. Where pray tell does freedom exist where election police enter the picture or when classrooms are suspected of harboring injurious ideas to the extent that video cams and microphones are deemed a necessary, good action or libraries are stripped of undesirable books or science and scientists are the objects of suspicion and hatred or fatigued medical teams are accused of murdering their patients?

The list is endless. Let the bonfires begin!

Blind loyalty leads to absolute ruin. We are teetering on the brink.
