to get an opening to vote. Nothing is guaranteed except for this clearly being an uphill battle for the moment.

EMILY'S List threatening to abandon Sinema, and the introduction of a talking fillibuster are both positive developments in what is again, an uphill battle.

4. Do You Really Think Sinema Gives A Shit?

I Don't. She's probably got a lobby job lined up for after she loses the AZ Senate seat for us.

We'll see whether the talking filibuster has any chance. Given our success thus far, I'm thinking no. I am a pessimist, but unfortunately, I've been right more often than not, hence backing up my skepticism.

But Sinema or Manchin changing their mind? That's a lost cause.

How big is definitely a matter of debate... and while I agree the chances are slim, I don't think they are non existant. We will never know for sure until the fight is completely over.

Manchin has indicated he is against.

Among their multiple options to defang the 60-vote requirement to get most bills through the Senate, Democrats are leaning toward voting on the revival of the so-called ‘talking filibuster’ to the Senate, according to several people familiar with the situation.

The talking filibuster would, after lengthy debate, require a simple majority to advance any bill toward final passage. Democrats have also discussed a carveout from the filibuster for voting and elections reform, but that idea appears to be getting less traction.

While I remain somewhat optimistic, this is definitely an uphill battle that I won't be surprised if we lose.

Yeeahhh and of course manchin just reinforced his "no." I just feel like there has to be some kind of minor tweak that sinema and manchin could get behind -even if we haven't figured it out yet.
