Charlie Kirk has called for a boycott of Carhartt...Charlie Kirk is angry!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/01/18/carhartt-vaccination-employees-conservatives/

After the Supreme Court’s decision that large companies do not have to force workers to get coronavirus shots or tests, employees nationwide have wondered how the high court’s ruling on the vaccination mandate from the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration would affect them.

FAQ: What to know about the omicron variant of the coronavirus
The issue bubbled up so much among employees at Carhartt, the Michigan-based workwear and other clothing company, that CEO Mark Valade emailed workers a day after the Supreme Court ruling to provide some clarity: Vaccination remained mandatory.

“We put workplace safety at the very top of our priority list and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling doesn’t impact that core value,” Valade wrote Friday, according to a copy of the email published to social media. “We, and the medical community, continue to believe vaccines are necessary to ensure a safe working environment for every associate and even perhaps their households.”

But, you probably guessed that.

I'm just happy to see a company saying "Nope, get vaccinated or leave."

They're the genuine article, not one of those belts that start cracking and peeling within a year.

I have a belt I made from a Tandy Leather rawhide belt blank. I didn't bother tooling it, just dyed it black and installed a buckle. It's still going strong after 30 years.

"Unconstitutional Medical Tyranny"!!

You can't make this stuff up. It has to pass all the way through the digestive tract first, to emerge right where Kirk has apparently placed his wee noggin.

Isn't "right-to-work" a cornerstone of contemporary conservativism? You know, to save the workers from the tyranny of a union, and that if you don't like your employment, just quit? Government regulation of business in any form is oppression of a kind not seen since the days of feudalism?

You're sounding like some kind of commie socialist yammering on like this!

I am actively looking for a work jacket to wear on the tractor (it has a cab) and around the property. It would be my first Carhart.

To be honest, my work coats and jackets get beat up pretty quickly. In light of that, I have been buying Walls or Dickie for cheap at Walmart.

Maybe this is what I need to change, huh?

LOL

Fuck you, Charlie Kirk. Are you getting commissions for the business you drive to Carhart?

His understanding of the USSC is as small as the face on his bulbous head.

Quick tip: the USSC ruling the Biden administration can't FORCE companies to mandate vaccines, doesn't mean companies can't require it themselves voluntarily. As private companies, they have every right to.

I wear them all. I've never bought serious cold weather clothes because here in NC the need is fleeting......and my exterior shells get pretty disgusting pretty quickly. Better to layer.
