(38,958 posts)My wife got her yearly pay increase long ago from the large insurance company for whom she worked at the time. She finally had to ask after not seeing anything in her paycheck for weeks after her review. When she did ask, she was told "Yes, you got an increase it was 10 cents per hour." Reading between the lines, it also implied "be happy you have a job."

If they're going to refuse raises, they should be smart enough to say NOTHING! But, no.
Really dumb.
That is, if it's real. This would be so easy to fake for a meme.

(3,334 posts)I was a night mainframe computer operator for a hospital. They sent out letters to everyone who owed them money. It contained a message to call a certain number if they needed to set up a payment plan even to people who owed them less than $1.
