Was dreading this day for anyone and it happened yesterday, lost an Uncle to COVID related pneumonia.
We were on two different sides of a "red-blue" divide (Devils Rangers rivalry...) which always made for fun banter, was one of my biggest supporters in my life and meant a lot to me growing up. Godspeed

(21,611 posts)I went through the same thing recently, so I understand how it feels. My uncle died of covid at Thanksgiving.
He also meant a lot to me growing up. Besides being my uncle, he was my godfather. Since he had sons and no daughters, he treated me like the daughter he didn't have.
Losing the important people in our lives really hurts.
