The good news about Putin's aggressive posture toward Ukraine...

…is that it signals Putin’s belief that he won’t get any more significant traction in attempting to weaken the political systems of the NATO alliance.

If he thinks he has reached a go/no-go point to invading Ukraine, then he must believe there is no more advantage to be gained in disrupting the west.
