Merkley on the floor

geez. Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon), beginning his talk on the Senate floor re the filibuster and Voting Rights, complimented Sen. Ossof of Georgia and Sen. Collins of Maine "for engaging in, perhaps, the most substantive exchange I've ever witnessed in 13 years here in the Senate." (applause)

Really? The most substantive exchange? I saw that exchange between Ossof and Collins. Each spoke 3-4 times, back and forth. It was meh. THAT WAS THE MOST SUBSTANTIVE EXCHANGE in 13 years?!? Lord, the Senate is in trouble.
