I just googled and read that two of McConnell's great-great-grandfathers, in Alabama, owned at least 14 slaves.
that some white owners refused to interbreed with slaves, so it's not guaranteed.
But in any case, there are privacy issues. I'm curious, of course, but think those who might wonder about a relationship should be allowed to discover or rule out one for themselves -- if they choose. Especially those whose female ancestors may have had no choice in the matter. Some families may already have.
Reminds me that VP Harris's paternal family are not exactly proud of the putative white slaver part of their ancestry.
