'fair and square'Despite a mountain of evidence showing the 2020 presidential contest wasnt rigged against Donald Trump, nearly 6 in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (57 percent) now say they will not vote in upcoming elections for any candidate who admits that Joe Biden won the presidency "fair and square."
Only 17 percent say they would consider voting for a candidate who accurately characterizes Bidens victory as legitimate.
These numbers underscore the degree to which Trumps big lie claiming Biden cheated his way into the White House a falsehood that three-quarters of Trump voters (74 percent) now believe has become a litmus test for the entire GOP, crowding out other issues and strengthening Trumps grip on the party ahead of the 2022 midterms.
For his part, Trump has made it clear that supporting his election fabrications is key to his own personal endorsement. Indeed, the former president is backing primary candidates against state officials who bucked his attempts to overturn the election.

(9,130 posts)we have the superspreader Rose Garden event, calling covid a hoax, turning masks and vaccines into a culture war, and an insurrection, and the outrage and the messaging from the opposition isn't there in the way it needs to be. Trump could destroy American democracy, and lawmakers on our side are just watching it happen, instead of putting up a fight.

I have no idea, but it's not 0%, I'm sure. There are Republicans who will simply not vote for someone who proclaims the "Big Lie." Now, they might not vote for a Democrat, either, but I'll be OK if they don't vote at all in that case.

We just have to make GOTV, make sure that vote is counted, link the GOP to being pro C-19 and
pro Trump, and show the people all the good things Biden and the Dems have done. We should not
spend one second or one dime on people who get out of bed and 1st thing in the morning is they care
abortion, "their white European Jesus", their gunz, or turn on Fox News (aka Putin's network) their
votes are gone anyway.
