Have you noticed how good the Republicans are at putting themselves out of reach of criticism or consequences? They even used military service, creating an unwritten rule that you can't question a retired military officer. Like we were automatically conscripted into their private army.
And now, when that begins to fail, they are trying to hold themselves above history by controlling the things that children learn in school. Obviously to keep the truth away from their progeny who would grow up questioning their judgement and authority.
