Strategic question: Should Democrats "fight" for Biden's nominee?

Assuming SineManchin are on board (I actually think they are), is there any reason to engage Republicans? Might it be better to just ignore the John Kennedy/Ted Cruz wing and just let them blow themselves out?

When we get a nominee confirmed, the spotlight will be on Biden and all of us and they will have shown themselves to be the race baiting shitbirds they are.

Do not waste energy.

If all we'll get is a nominee, that's all we need. Save ammo for the big deals in the future.

Country together, AND getting congress to work together like they used to (before dam Newt Gingrich1). I think he really wants some Pubs to vote FOR his nominee in an effort to begin tearing down the ABSOLUTELY NO! wall they've built. Plus I think we owe it to Joe to help him try.
