Surveillance video shows beaten 49ers fan as aggressor or instigator

In a previous news conference Thursday, Butts said that, upon review of surveillance footage, investigators determined Luna was mingling with a group of people primarily wearing red 49ers jerseys when he allegedly shoved a man wearing a Rams jersey from behind.

“The suspect then retaliated by pushing Mr. Luna from behind, and then struck (him) once in the mouth area,” Butts said. “Luna then fell to the ground, where he was later found by security personnel who summoned paramedics.”

I never would have predicted a "punk got punked" situation.
BTW: what's the deal with the other niner fans just leaving him there to be found by security? That seems weird they would just bail.

It is not too much of a matter of public concern who started what, but police or stadium officials purposely concealing the fact of the incident happening at all from the public IS a matter of public concern. Normally incidents like this become public knowledge almost immediately, they're all over the local news that day or the next.

But this one, which happened at the venue where the Superbowl is scheduled to take place two weeks later, not a peep for days. It's not hard to figure out the motive for that.

I personally wouldn’t push anyone from behind - and then expect to be treated with roses.
