I could be wrong, I do not believe Trump will run for president for this reason.

How can Trump run for president without twitter? Twitter was his super criminal power. Trump could sit on his toilet, eating documents, spreading his lies and propaganda instantly around the country. It allowed him to avoid the news media and the news media would report all of Trumps twitter propaganda. Twitter allowed Trump to manipulate the news media instantly, anywhere, anytime.

If Trump runs for president he would have to deal with the news media more often without his twitter account. The news media would hound Trump about all the things he is being investigated for. It would bring all the investigations into intense focus. I don't think Trump wants to deal with that intense focus without his twitter propaganda account.

Is Trump crazy enough to run for president? Yes he is. In the end I think he will realize it would put him at more risk. We all know Trump only cares about the risk/reward to himself.

Unless he's indicted! At which time he will leave the country!

But as each day goes by...I believe that the chances of any indictments are slim to none! Both NY and GA are taking the long road...the DOJ may or may not be doing anything...

And if he does decide to run he'll win hands down, because the SCOTUS has and continues to rule against voting rights, and the DOJ wanting to be apolitical will sit on the side and watch, like a voyeur!!!

Thing he did while in office. And all the things he said juxtaposed with all the things that happened. There is so much negative advertising material. And we haven’t even started the hearings yet. If the Republicans really wanna open that can of worms they’re welcome to it

whose content he'd control. His bud billionaire Peter Thiel is creating a similarly far-right version of YouTube.

Of course, regarding the first there's enormous incompetence at the top, and since it's all about tRump we'll see how that goes. I think we should assume Putin would like it to do well, btw.

It may be that growing national awareness of his corruption, treason and massive mental dysfunction and incompetence will convince him to cut his losses and turn to grifting money out of loyalists, maybe his own cable shows. The image of a wannabe Der Leader eating documents and repeatedly clogging his toilet with them should be helpful.

Those going to those platforms would those 99.9% sure to vote for him anyway.
Tens of millions of people are not likely to give up Twitter & YouTube, so those new platforms become a new room for the same old choir.
Your last paragraph really suggests we are of a like mind.
Besides, he lost the PV twice, & got stomped in the EC in '20.

More losing and a future of playing mostly to an aging following who tune in to be hustled and rabbleroused do seem mostly likely, prison not impossible. But people like tech people Peter Thiel and the Mercers, for instance, aren't in it for that.

What we're seeing now could be the development of communications and other technology necessary to get back into power, facilitated by smart people using him to get power for their own purposes. Have to keep an eye out.

let alone in 3 years. He looks and sounds like shit, even worse than when he was in office. Between his lifestyle choices and the stress he is certainly under, it's all taking a massive, obvious toll on him. The GOP's claims that Biden is in "mental decline" are a HUGE projection of Trump's deterioration.

The real reason, however, is that he'd be forced to give up his biggest cash cow. All the money he's raking in from his cult suckers will no longer be able to be funneled into his pockets once he announces his candidacy. No way he's giving that up.

Trump's ego will dominate over common sense in the end. He has shown us this time and time again.

And if he runs he's got every chance of winning the election outright, or at least attempting another coup, of course he will have a friendly Congress but an opposition VP.

Trump needs the attention of running, he lives for the power of being President. But I don't think people get how well he used Twitter to control the narrative day after day. And they aren't replacing Twitter with a Rightwing platform. Trump wouldn't have beaten Hillary without Twitter and he wouldn't have made things close with Biden without Twitter.

If he thinks running again will be too much of a hassle — and face it, the man does not like work — he can sit on the sidelines, say outrageous crap, and get people stirred up. I think he’ll take the path of least resistance toward this end. The media just has to ignore him like he’s the crazy uncle talking nonsense. If the heat continues to grow on Fox, it may decide to distance itself from him as well.

Like a two-bit Mussolini, he’ll do his rallies and bask in the adoration for as long as that lasts. Twitter was a huge part of his MO, but how often as POTUS was he out on rallies?

Meanwhile, let us hope the GOP continues to implode.

He won't risk losing a second time. He'll go to his grave insisting 2020 was 'stolen' - and knows that card can't be played again.

His mental and physical health are visibly deteriorating - imagine what he'll look like three years from now.

Big money donors won't waste their money backing a loser.

The dirt coming out about him is already insurmountable - and we haven't even heard all of it yet.

He's losing supporters who are tired of hearing the 'stolen election' griping. He used to inspire them - now he's just boring them to death.

His ego can't handle the never-ending barrage of attacks that will come from the Dems - and there's a never-ending supply of ammunition there. Every dumb statement, every dumb move, every unflattering pic, every mis-speak will be played out in ads 24/7. The Dems know how to rattle him - make him look like the orange-faced buffoon he is, and he'll have one meltdown after another.

They don't want a nice, safe, boring, competent administration, as with Joe Biden. They want a lucrative circus in the Presidency, with clowns and pratfalls and slapstick and idiocy.

The news media will just kiss his ass again, calling him a "self-made billionaire" and a "man of the people" in the same headlines again and again, while tarring any Democratic opponent as unqualified and/or untrustworthy.

I'm not looking for a repeat of 2016, so Trump should either die, be arrested, or otherwise rid us of himself.

I am hopeful that he won't run again as well.
The man has an impressive following of morons, that is without question. His problem is that movement is not big enough to win an election. The rest of their party has had quite enough of the bullshit that swirls around him everywhere he goes, and they have grown tired of it.
I'm guessing there have been a lot of behind the scenes discussions with him trying to explain the damage he is doing, and how it will cost their party control. BUT, since he considers all things to always be about him, I'm not sure they will be able to convince him to sit down and shut the hell up. That would be a good thing for us in the end, regardless of how outrageous that sounds, because there is no way he could ever pull off a win again, not after all he has done. No way. All but the fringe idiots hate that vile bastard.
