What Pelosi ripped up was one of hundreds of copies of the speech. Trump was destroying original copies and we have no way of knowing is duplicates were even made, so a huge, huge difference. And to say that knowing first-hand what Trump was doing is terribly irresponsible. Why wasn't Pence blowing the whistle on Trump's criminality rather than deploring free speech.

He was a chicken-shit coward from Day One. A true hero would have blown the whistle and called the media and told them exactly Chump was trying to do. Make no mistake, Pence knew EVERYTHING they were doing, and he knew it was wrong. He knew it was unconstitutional, undemocratic, and highly illegal, but he never said a word.

I'm pretty sure that he kept it all quiet just in case Chump really got away with his insurrection. Pence didn't want to close the door on remaining VP in case Chump actually succeeded. That's my guess because I can't think of any other reason why he kept it quiet.
