When they were still the USSR, the Russian and East German athletes were doping like crazy. Every one of them were cheating in some way.

They haven't slowed down a bit since then, in my opinion. They should be completely banned from international competition for eight years or so.

They'd probably just use the time to come up with new doping methods that would beat all current testing. Born to cheat. Gee, I wonder where TFG gets it from, right?

It didn't have anything to do with "gay or straight" - it was outright cheating. Some East German athletes entered Olympic events as "women" when they were actually men who had undergone sex reassignment surgery. I forget the category but it might have been weight lifting, or another area where the male athletes had a definite physical advantage over females. I seem to recall it was the late 60's or early 70's but I'm too lazy to google it. They got caught and were sanctioned by the Olympic committee, and I think they got stripped of their medals.

How about saying instead "The IOC, allowing Russia to complete as ROC is a farce, it is a slap to the rest of the World who do not engage in cheating, they should have not been allowed to compete under any name. A duck is a duck no matter what you call it."

Putin is such a sarcastic figure that he showed up at the Olympics to cheer for that "Committee"...What is the difference between banning Russia but allowing a ROC to compete...where are the medals going to, hmm, lets think about this one...could it be Russia? Where will the athletes be celebrated, even invited to meet with their dictator as well? Could it be Russia?

What a scam from the IOC...Russia should have been banned completely, period...they are unrepentant because they know the IOC will invent something else to allow them to compete...Pathetic.
