Press: Time for Merrick Garland to flush Donald Trump

On Jan. 5, marking the one-year anniversary of Jan. 6, Attorney General Merrick Garland promised that, “following the facts,” the Justice Department would pursue anyone, no matter how powerful, responsible for planning and carrying out the assault on the U.S. Capitol. “The Justice Department remains committed to holding all January 6 perpetrators, at any level, accountable under law — whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible for the assault on our democracy.”

One month later, it’s fair to ask: “General, what are you waiting for? Why hasn’t Donald Trump yet been charged with any crime? How much more evidence do you need?”

True, DOJ has “aggressively pursued” those who actually broke into the Capitol, arresting over 725 rioters so far, several of whom are already serving prison terms. And the department’s reportedly still tracking down another 350 persons involved. But going after foot soldiers is not enough. What about the leader of the insurrection? What about Donald Trump? Every day, we see more evidence of his criminal conduct.

Coincidence (of course) but Peter Thiel (big TFG booster) is stepping down from the board of Facebook/Meta (big TFG booster) to focus on boosting TFG's allies in the midterms.

My thought is that Thiel was an early backer of Seasteading, basically "sovereign nations" on offshore structures, and I believe, islands where you can just make up your own constitution and laws, as was tried in the USA for 4 years. Ego, anyone?

Best part of this is that there would be no initial barrier to a lot of MAGA types coming along. After all, someone has to maintain the place, though the quantity and quality of the work might be a UUUGE disappointment. I suppose you can harvest coconuts with an assault rifle. Well, I leave that to the imagination. Being MAGA, its name might just have to start with an "A", though choosing another letter is an opportunity to sell more hats.

4. The clock is running

Given the incredible ignorance of far too many voters, it will take at least six months before what almost happened to our democracy, penetrates the minds of those who weren't paying attention.

And many of them won't care, because Fox "news," etc., will be calling it a "hoax" and a lying attack by liberals/socialists/George Soros, et. al. against "Dear Leader."

How much more needs to come out before most voters grasp the facts and become infuriated at Trump and his fellow mobsters for trying to steal America?
