Wow.

Michigan GOP HB 5722 would require that all curriculum, books, literature, writing assignments and field trips are publicly listed before the school year begins.

This is the "Make Good Teachers Quit" bill. Their ultimate goal is private school vouchers.

Maybe based on uneducated people getting all of their information from social media as opposed to edited fact checked actual journalistic sources... now we begin to see that education is actually their enemy. They aren't catering to ignorance just because that characterizes their racist base, rather they are intentionally going about to create a less educated population. More educated people think more liberally, and it burns their ass.

Don’t teachers post the class syllabus and reading and homework assignments on line already?

20 some years ago, my boys’ school had a Homework Hotline. Teachers left a recorded message each day reminding students or parents what tonight’s homework assignment was. Anybody could call it. We had to get new phones because to access the different messages, you had to press a number, and we still had rotary dial phones.

Teachers were already using google classroom in the before times. Teachers map out the scope and sequence of which standards (who remembers CommonCore?) and plan the yer, but make adjustments. Kids have IEPs, other kids are able to work ahead independently. Teachable moment arise.

Politicians and the people who scorned education while in high school are not Professional Educators. When did credentials become meaningless? Not just for teachers, but the same people doubt Fauci. Anecdotal, but most K-8 teachers are women, and i'd say more than half of high school teachers. It's racism and sexism and union busting and bullying.

Parents can log in and check their kid's grades and missing assignments now. I'm waiting for the single female morality clause to make a come back.

I'm not kidding.

They seriously think their kids would be better off being taught by either computers, or teachers who are monitored and controlled by computers.

The GQP won't stop until they ruin life as we know it.

Just math and physical education allowed? But math triggers and upsets some kids and I personally hated physical education. So I guess all day recess?

It's unenforceable because you can't follow that format IRL. It's "get everyone and anyone to quit" since no one can live up to that standard. Oh, and just for shiggles, who the fuck has to sit and check these plans? Gua-rone-tee the oversight of this shit would be less than stellar. Keep the beatings coming, you fucks. I have teaching to do.
