Was this true or false?

Tweeted late last year and then deleted. I think it's likely true.

"In case anyone is curious, every 10 days more than 8,000 (unvaccinated) Republicans are dying of Covid-19. That's five times the rate for Democrats." -- Neil DeGrasse Tyson,

1. Probably false because the assumption is all unvaccinated are republicans and all vaccinated are

democrats. You have no real way to find out if those that died are republican/democrat/non-voters.

as the tweet is suggesting. A mostly true statement is still a false statement if the question is a simple "true or false". The statement can only be true if it's completely true.

5. You would get a good idea by looking at individual counties

Compare the death rates to how the county votes.
I suspect that the correlation would prove to be true.

There are just as many non-voters as democrats or republicans. You really can't predict or find out who the dead person affiliation is.

I agree that unvaccinated is more likely to be republican. But it won't be matching exactly at a 5:1 rate.
