It doesn't mix. I have no doubt Trumps lawyers will tell him to take the 5th over and over again. I can see Trump attempting to take the fifth over and over again, and I can see Trump losing self control, then telling the prosecutors one of his made up bullshit stories over and over again.
Trump taking the 5th hour after hour without saying anything else, that shit doesn't mix.

(7,859 posts)obsessively self absorbed, a consummate con man, and the definition of the Dunning Kruger Effect..you're right..and because he has no self-control he will invoke the 5th until he explodes, spewing invectives and empty threats...

(9,670 posts)Then he'd continue: "Because my lawyers told me that that's what I needed to do. But I have nothing to hide. This entire proceeding is a fraud, you're a fraud, everybody knows it. We have the best people telling us you're a fraud. It's ridiculous. We have a beautiful company, the best company in the world, everybody knows it. What do you know about running a company? What do you know about valuing properties? My properties are more valuable than any other properties because everybody knows it. So yeah, I plead the fifth and when I get elected again I'll make sure that none of you ever have a fifth amendment to use because it's what gangsters use when they're trying to get out of something that they deserve, but everybody knows that's not why I'm using it".

(36,921 posts)In previous chances of deposition, Trump's lawyers were worried about a perjury trap.
Rightly so.
It is impossible to fall into a perjury trap if you tell the truth.
