Of course Putin would have gotten a free pass from Trump, that is true. But this is not in any way WWIII. Putin has his shorts in a bunch over the fall of the Soviet Union, always has. This is an ego trip, being the guy who reunites a large part of the old country.

But lets be historically accurate. This is not WWIII. If he invades it will be an isolated shit show, many will die for no reason. But it will indeed be very isolated, go on for years and years, likely result in some splitting of the country. 40% of Ukraine citizens are very pro Russia already.

Its not WWIII, Putin is not bombing Pearl Harbor or Great Britain, he is not going to touch any NATO countries at all.
