You know what every last political ad should say?

I've been sitting here pondering the likely effect of political advertising. I'm no Edward Bernays, its all speculation. It has occurred to me that its likely that people's tolerance for political ads decreases proportionately to the rate of increase in early voting. And then it also occurred to me just how little the ads either matter.

So just once I'd like to see that last day of campaigning have one new ad showing. They could hold off until the hour of the last poll closing to air it, but air it they should. It should say simply this. "Forget what I said, now watch what I actually do"

If people did that one, forget what they say and watch what they actually do, there would be a lot fewer calls for term limits.
