Well that took some time

It turns out that Canada still considers me a citizen. Thanks to Covid, it took 18 months to get an answer.
Now I am a dual Canadian/US citizen living in Germany.
My attempt for permanent residency here are buried under the Covid backlog. Because of that I have to get an emergency visa extension. I need that because I will be leaving Germany, plague allowing, and would like to get back home.
Living in interesting times.

The Covid numbers are high, but I have been avoiding the plague. In theory, Germany will be dropping controls by late March. I think that I will keep wearing a mask for transit and indoor shopping.
Currently it seems that only Putin's people in the ethnic Russian sections are shelling.
Many of the regular citizens aren't happy with this event and don't like being pawns.
We shall see.
