What will stop Rooty-Tooty, Bare-Chested Pooty?

The specter of thousands of body bags returning from the front. This isn't 2014 and Ukraine's army and civil defense forces are fortifying their positions and loaded for bear (hah!) with next generation anti-tank technology.

He envisions himself as the hero who will return Russia back to greatness. He is 69 years old, which means he is running out of time. The only things that will stop him now, is an overwhelming force or a bullet to the head.

But even though they have improved their defenses, the reality is that they are going to be badly outnumbered and outmatched by the Russian military. It is not a fair fight, unfortunately.

We were outnumbered by at least 3:1 during my time as a tank commander defending the Fulda Gap and south and our tactics - based on the Soviet's idiotic straight-line formations with no deviations - would have decimated their forces, which would have allowed our force multipliers to turn them back. The continued use of conscripts by the Soviets has always been their weakness and the professional Ukraine army will exploit it.

and I will happily admit that I've been wrong to date. The Ukrainians have put up far more of a fierce defense than I could have ever imagined. The Russians, although they're making substantial gains in the east and the south, have suffered from a large proportion of demoralized soldiers and equipment that has been poorly manufactured/maintained.

So, as of today, we stand at:

But is that enough to "stop Rooty-Tooty, Bare-Chested Pooty," as you asked in the OP? Unfortunately, no. And there's no indication that the significant losses will result in Putin calling off the war. Conversely, he seems determined to inflict far greater pain and suffering, particularly on the civilian population. He's truly evil and I hope he disappears soon.
