China sanctions Lockheed Martin, Raytheon

Only days ago the U.S. approved a new package of arms sales to Taiwan.

It included upgrades to Patriot air-defense missile systems.

Now comes China's response.

On Monday (February 21) Beijing said it was imposing sanctions on defense contractors Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.

How much business were they doing with China before this?

1. I could not imagine any better PR for Lockheed Martin and Raytheon.

Taiwan should absolutely be able to defend themselves against Beijing.

They are a vibrant democracy with a Free Press, and free elections. With democracy being threatened all around the world we should defend democratic nations when they're under siege by authoritarian dictatorships.
