(19,204 posts)it would be alerted on in a nanosecond. But, being the big, bad, man headache I am, I won't.
Have your fun, ladies. Just remember, turn about is fair play.

(19,204 posts)Making excuses is beneath every one of you, and you know I'm right about a transposed post. It would be alerted on instantaneously, removed, and I'd be given a strike on my posting record.
When you can admit that, then we can move on to understanding each other.

(19,568 posts)Out in public for anyone to read?
Excuse me while I have a fit of the vapors and resume my place in proper society... of course smiling. I've been informed many times I'd look much prettier if I'd just smile, after all.
I apologize for my sad expression. It might, perhaps, be due to the fact I work much harder in my field and make 30% less than the "kind" people knee jerking at me for mentioning such an unpleasant fact, or it might perhaps be because of my reproductive rights being ripped from my hands in an attempt to marginalize me from being competitive in my field.
Or, it might just be because I'm freaking tired of some people knee jerking whenever they're mentioned in a less than pretty light. Because they seem to feel that's sexist against them. It's not. It's just an ugly reality women deal with every single day of our lives.
The odds are someone out there would say it's just my hormones reacting. That's the kind of bullshit we deal with daily.
If the shoe doesn't fit, move on. If you're feeling threatened by something... perhaps, re-evaluate you?

(34,074 posts)let's try it a couple other ways (inspired by your suggestion):
"i was holding hands with my boyfriend when a middle aged man with very little english approached us. he smiled, nodded approvingly and said:
"women is too headache."
or this:
"i was holding hands with my teddy bear when a middle aged person with very little english approached us. they smiled, nodded approvingly and said:
"people is too headache."
i think "people is too headache" is my favorite!

(19,204 posts)The old adage, "if it has tits, testicles, or tires, there's going to be trouble", seems to apply in just about every situation. 😉

Did you just have your equal rights taken away by the Supreme Court and several Southern states?
That is what sexism means, and you are subject to none of it.
Prejudice is about power, and men have the power. The examples above are proof of that.

(19,204 posts)that no one addresses the question as it was put forward. They just want to take pot shots at the person who put the question forward.
