It's times like this that I miss President Obama

I like Joe and think he's doing a fine job thus far...

But I and many others have fond memories of Barack Obama. What's that expression, "cool as the back side of the pillow"??

Nothing flustered the guy. He was quite literally the smartest guy in the room in most cabinet meetings. He had a way of addressing the public that reassured folks... sometimes I just wish he'd go on TV and just say "Everything's going to be OK". People would believe him and take a few deep breaths.

No Drama Obama.

Unflappable and fearless. Brilliant and intimately familiar with EVERYTHING in his orbit.

Is that he's the first President I could relate to. He's not only my age but has a similar educational background and intellectual interests.

He'll always be MY first President.

I can relate to Obama more as a millenial, but my catholic upbringing really makes me appreciate Biden and his thought process alot. Pisses me off to no end that the media is railroading him non-stop.

I also like Clinton, a lot.

The 90's were the best decade, EVER... thanks!

lol... the music, culture, the whole thing was awesome.

It's when I started my first business and it was wildly successful... everyone did well in the 90's... my parents made a fortune.

Looking back... it's my favorite decade.

I loved the 90's. It was a strange decade. I started the 90's dodging Scud missiles in Saudi Arabia, and ended the 90's happily married but earning a precarious living as a loan officer in a shady, unethical bank.

But on balance, it was a wonderful time to be alive.

It's his communication skills with the American public.

Obama had a way with people, letting them know that everything is ok. His demeanor and even the tone of his voice is calming.

Sorry if I'm "fanboying"... but that's how I feel.

I am grateful that Biden is leading our country. He has decades of international perspective and wisdom
that Obama was not able to bring to his foreign policy.

Be thankful everyday that President Biden is in charge; he is not perfect but no one would be and
this is the most dangerous threat to world stability that we have faced since the fall of the Soviet Union.

Sure, fond memories of Obama too. Maybe it's time to get rid of that term-limiting amendment....

But Joe is doing the job now, just as well as I expected... and right where I would want him to be, with the current crisis.

I missed President Obama much more, while the orange turd was in the White House...

except the right is less able to harness racism against the occupant

I always liked Joe, though, I supported him for the 1988 nomination, after Hart imploded himself below the waist. Always felt Biden was railroaded out of that race, little ado about nothing-- a one-time failure to attribute remarks that he paraphrased... was magnified by a right-fawning MSM into "plagiarism".....

JFK had a distinctive voice too, like a bell ringing. President Obama's voice was powerful, and he was/is a master communicator.

But the central point is that Joe Biden is our President, and I believe he is doing a magnificent job. This is a much worse situation than 2008-2009 because of the health issues and the severe damage that Trump did to the US and our allies. While W was awful, there was no question that he loved the US, much like 45 other Presidents, except the Orange Diaper-wearing Toilet-flushing Russian Ass-et. Having to follow this traitor is a tough act.

What Joe Biden has had to handle is horrific, and I am totally glad we have him. He has unified basically the entire world against Putin, and I didn't think that would be possible after Toilet Trump.

Now is the time to support him 1000000%. Obama, like JFK and Clinton, were wonderful, but my faith is in Joe Biden. Completely.

Is that what you meant to say? I disagree if that's the case.

What I meant to say is what I said: President Biden is the perfect person for February 22, 2022. BHO, as an "elder" statesman is obviously there to support his brother.

And this is NOT Obama III for anyone suggesting that!

Wed Feb 23, 2022, 12:51 AM

But that's not what I've referred to above.

It's the "feeling" that Obama would give.

It's like when the pilot on the 777 talks to you over the intercom during turbulence and you just KNOW that everything is OK. The tone of voice, says the right thing... etc

So one more time. No I didn't say Obama would do a better/different JOB.

But he seems to have forgotten the effect in English of the first word of the second sentence.
