(14,119 posts)Bumshit, North Dakota will be fine.
Fifty plus years ago I attended the Zip to Zap spring break party, awoke to the sound of the military marching into town to force the 3,000+ revellers out of the tiny village of over 200 people. I was sleeping in my big Mercury with a fun set of twins from my home town, in a field near the paved road into town, clomp, clomp, clomp, clomp, WTF is that noise thought my hangovered brain. Mind you, this was before Mary Jane moved to the Dakotas, and I sat up and shock of shock, war had broken out? Bayonets mounted, must be serious? Shock of shock number two as I started waking up, they were coming after us. It wasn't Russian nukes, but for a second it seemed like war had arrived in Zap.

(19,568 posts)They're super selective and will never dare touch their "patriotic" Russian sympathizing loved ones. That's how nukes work in their sad, demented, little minds.

(18,641 posts)Exactly as predicted in 1997 by the StraussHowe generational theory in the book, The Fourth Turning.
They predicted that era of destruction, involving war or revolution, in which institutional life is destroyed and rebuilt in response to a perceived threat to the nation's survival will occur and it's culmination should occur sometime around the mid 2020s.
They say the result could either reaffirm or destroy America as we know it.
