(11,802 posts)Personally I give two shits about wether it was pro American sentiment when a million people were killed. It was a fucking disaster that we caused and he sold. Period. I still love my country and I hear what youre saying, for the record. These people are absolutely traitors. But lets not forget the vitriol he carried for those of us that opposed that blunder. Him calling these people traitors for siding with Russia Carries no weight when he was calling Americans traitors for not siding with one of Americas biggest mistakes. This fucker can go pound sand. Im not going to sing his praises when he hasnt accepted his responsibility or because hes seen what is politically expedient or financially good for him in the future. Fuck this asshole.

(11,802 posts)He nor his conservative views are welcome in our tent. Just because hes saying things we like to hear is not changing opinion fucking one. Do you really think hes having any affect on todays Republicans? Hes a traitor in their eyes because he wont support Trump. What? He says things I like to hear so all is forgiven for his role in building this nightmare? Sorry. Cant do it. If you want to Cheerlead a man who has brutally insulted everything we stand for because he suddenly felt the winds of change and tells you what you want to hear? Its on you. E aint changing a single fucking Republicans view so his words mean nothing.

(9,090 posts)winds of change- that's 1500 radio stations that, unlike fox, are locally coordinated and totally ignored by democrats, endorsed by 87+ universities and many pro teams, to lie constantly and in coordination, and have been used by putin since at least 2008/palin
that's what the con cheerleaders, including manchin, support, and because liberals have no fucking clue what's on 1500 radio stations there's no way to call them out. what they are cheerleading is invisible and ignored by them but heard by 50 mil a week with many secondary recipients of the lies and alternate reality, building on week after week for 30 ignored years, the biggest political mistake in history

(4,610 posts)There is a difference between being deceived by lies and propaganda to believe you are supporting your country, and knowingly, consciously siding with an enemy of your country.
In 2003, Bush Republicans still thought they were doing something to "protect" America.

Steve Bannon has no legitimate place - even as opponent - in the political landscape, or even the political dialog of this country. Wilson might be a scum-bag - but he is not Steve Bannon. I think the OP was worth posting. You apparently disagree.

.or anyone else that disagrees. Cool. Alls Im saying is:
1) This guy called all of us traitors when we disagreed with his war (Iraq)
2) This guy built the machinery on the GOP side that gave us Trump
And most importantly,
3) He isnt influencing anyone on the GOP side. The lines have been drawn. All hes doing is giving us a a own the cons feeling of gratification. Hes not contributing fuck all to changing anything. He will bash the Democratic Party the first chance he gets. If he was contributing to change? Id have not posted fuck Rock Wilson. But he isnt. He simply isnt. The GOP base views him as a traitor to the conservative (whatever the fuck that means anymore) cause. All hes good for is making liberals feel good. And coming from the likes of him? Yeah, Im good. Please keep moving down the street asshole.

(49,991 posts)"The Cleland ad was powerful because it went to his strengths," Wilson explains. "Everyone assumed Cleland was immune to critiques on national security issues ... we found a lot of votes where he'd voted the wrong way ... we tested those messages and discovered those messages were very effective against Cleland ..." There was an outcry against the ad by some Republican veterans, like John McCain, and it was eventually pulled. But Cleland, who'd started the campaign 22 points ahead, lost to Chambliss. No one on his campaign ever figured out how to counter the ad. Considering Cleland had lost an arm and both his legs to a grenade in Vietnam ... they assumed no one would dare to hit him on defense. Rick Wilson dared: "... they didn't calculate that I have no moral center when it comes to political ads, and I will destroy the innocent and the guilty ...

Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN
Excerpt
"I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, 'This is genius.' Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine, of Ukraine, Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that's wonderful," Trump said in an interview on "The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show."
The ex-President added: "So Putin is now saying, 'It's independent,' a large section of Ukraine. I said, 'How smart is that?' And he's going to go in and be a peacekeeper. That's the strongest peace force," Trump said. "We could use that on our southern border. That's the strongest peace force I've ever seen. ... Here's a guy who's very savvy. ... I know him very well. Very, very well."
Trump was referring to Putin's declaration on Monday that he would regard two rebel regions of eastern Ukraine, where he has been fostering separatism, as independent and his order for Russian troops, which Putin misleadingly called "peacekeeping" forces, to reinforce the enclaves. The move was a flagrant violation of international law, was resonant of the tyrannical territorial aggrandizement of the 1930s that led to World War II and was, as Biden said on Tuesday, tantamount to "the beginning of a Russian invasion."
In effect, the ex-President is trying to undermine US foreign policy as the current President tries to stop a war that could kill thousands of people and threaten the post-Cold War peace.
