8. I don't think the world has even begun to grasp what is happening

Only Ukraine has. Take a look at Putin’s warning to the US and Europe just moments ago - it is terrifying and you gotta be naive thinking that any sanctions will work. He dares us to interfere, he dares nato to interfere - that is his goal so he can then “respond” accordingly. Unlike western democracies - humane civil societies, nothing is off the table for putin. When he conquered Crimea - there were no consequences, one might say he even got rewarded with a pipeline contract. We are witnessing what happens when evil is not held accountable. it becomes stronger and more evil.

It seems like this has all been happening in slow motion, like we've been skirting the event horizon of a black hole that has finally captured us and is tearing us asunder as it swallows us up.
