Sadly, to me at least, this means that western nations within themselves do not continue to have the unified resolve to make the sacrifices and carry out the actions against Russia that they had 30 years ago. Hence you see, even in America, a creeping tolerance for evil, corruption . racism, bigotry, misogyny, and homophobia--the social evils we thought we were making global strides against.
Indeed, this makes Trump the most consequential President in history since Abe Lincoln. Think about it. At least 25% of the voting public and 90% of GOP support Russian aggression.
Whatever happened to our angst against "communism and communists?" I am old enough to remember when everything Russian was communist (at least in the minds of the unthinking).
