I'm an officer's brat - cold war warrior's kid. . . .
I hate the Russians and they are an existential threat to me and my country.
I'm sure Putin feels the same way.
Think you had to be in that environment in the 1970's when the East German/Russian terrorists were attacking Americans, American Forces, their families every few days.

(4,845 posts)It's a problem when people elevated to absolute power in authoritarian or dictatorship countries and their power gets unchecked. It's just their power get into their head and they think too highly of themselves and what they can do. I think a woman would have been corrupted as well. But we will never know because women wouldn't have been elevated to those position in the first place.
