Anyone have that quote that was posted here recently...

...about fascism, I believe. It was something along the lines of "fascism starts slowly, but then it happens all at once" or something along those lines. I found it to be a poignant quote, but I didn't save it at the time and now I can't seem to find it when I try searching the internet for it...

Is it from Ernest Hemingway’s 1926 novel, The Sun Also Rises? I've read all of his books. My second choice would be George Orwell?

I'm avoiding youtube for the duration of the Russian aggression or I would do a look up there as well. I don't want to give the propaganda enablers who own it to profit from allowing Russia TV (RT) a platform.

I was thinking that it was maybe some historical quote or from someone experienced in matters such as these, not just some random Twitter person, but the quote itself still is very poignant to me. It certainly rings true. I was thinking about it when there were reports that some Ukraine citizens were at some glitzy ball the night before Putin invaded.
