My friend, who still has family in Ukraine...Fearful for them.

She is such a wonderful person who came to the United States 30 years ago for her son to get Medical treatment at the Mayo Clinic. Many may recognize her well known son, who passed away before the Holidays.

I was texting her last night as the invasion unfolded. She needs our strength at this time as well for the country she left behind. She is a Citizen who loves this country.

Just was reading my college basketball forum (I live in Kansas and follow KU) and read that a former player (Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk) now with the Toronto Raptors pro team and is from the Ukraine was desperately trying to get his parents out of that country...Lucky he has a good income but still hasn't been able to do this....crazy dark times we are living in...

If they are in Central or Eastern Ukraine, there’s more danger of them in an area encountering ground troops. If they’re in Western Ukraine, probably won’t have ground troops although there still is a risk of air strikes.
