Despite everything that they are going through they still wear their masks. They are better citizens than many in the US.

(4,673 posts)football-field huge, discount grocer. Since there is no longer a mask mandate, I was bracing myself in spite of being in my liberal county on the central CA coast.
Amazingly, I did not see a =single= unmasked person! I looked, and looked, but nope. I know that will change, but for now I felt proud of my community.

(4,898 posts)But if I was Ukrainian and couldn't get a Western Covid vaccine, I'd wear a mask and go unvaxxed before I would take a Russian made "Covid vaccine."

Edited to add: It wasn't so long ago that the U.S. had 63 per 100k new cases, and few masks in large parts of the country.

(22,767 posts)of Russians out in protest of the invasion were also wearing them. In at least the 3 videos I've seen, it looked like the majority were.
