I believe Rick Scott is trying to stop all the 1/6 prosecutions and Trump prosecutions

We find this in his tyrannical document:

We will make it a federal crime for any prosecutor, including the US Department of Justice, to pursue prosecution based on political ideology.

The Republicans claim insurrection and Trump prosecutions are based on political ideology, so the end result of this line would be to allow insurrection to go unpunished.

Run for office, start a minor political party of one, express beliefs, have a bumper sticker on your car... then voila there's the possibility your prosecution might be based on political ideology.

His governor is going to be pissed if Scott out-Nazis him. It will be a battle in hob-nailed boots.

And Scott proposes this policy based upon political ideology... One thing you can say about senior Republicans, they are consistent.
