Greene: I proudly objected on January 6th. I would object again today because I know for a fact there was so much wrong in that election and I believe it was stolen. Do I know how? No, I dont know how

That's called a factually unsupported "belief"....no amount of evidence will ever convince these traitorous death cult members.

(471 posts)... I can see she's just plain mean ...
... I suspect she's just an ego-driven opportunist since it appears she's made $$$ by being in the house ...
... but some of the stuff she says is just plain idiotic ...
... is it to 'play to the base' of because she really doesn't filter her speech thru her brain?

(11,742 posts)To be a grifter, you do not have to be smart, just slightly smarter or more convincing than your marks.
She has a willing audience. An audience that is ignorant and really wants to believe that their worldview is supported. She feeds them nonsense but because of her position and their willingness to believe, she is able to get their support.
I have serious doubts that she would hold up under any kind of questioning, which is why you NEVER see her going on any media that would push back at all.
Amber Ruffin, a comedian who used to work with Seth Meyers on the Late Night, has an ongoing skit with Greene where Greene appears at Ruffin's mail slot (like she did with AOC). When Ruffin asks any follow up question, the Greene character cries out, "Why are you bullying me!!" That is Greene in a nutshell. She is a complete lightweight who would fall apart or show her ass under any kind of actual scrutiny.

(804 posts)I have no idea how such an ignorant, uninformed person could have been elected. That does not say much for the people that voted for her. Well I take that back. It says A LOT about the people that voted for her. They have no critical thinking or communication skills whatsoever!

(11,742 posts)We like to poke fun at this young woman. Her answer was undoubtedly bad and embarrassing. I would like to think that she pursued some kind of education and realized why her answer was so bad.
Greene is in her 30's and has a history of "activism" prior to her run for the House. She should know better, but it is obvious that she either lacks the intellectual capacity to process information, lacks the curiosity to learn new information, or is willfully ignorant. It is likely a combination of all three.

(11,742 posts)Like Greene, they operate on emotions not on any logic or intellect. That is how you vote for someone like Greene.
Back in the 2000's people thought that G.W Bush was someone you could have a beer with, not understanding that while Bush was perhaps not intellectually threatening, that he was an elite that ran in far different circles than the average American did. President Obama was someone I would like to have a "beer" with, and likely someone I could have good conversation with because he could both relate as a person and be intellectual and academic. I voted for President Obama because with his background and achievements, I figured he would make better decisions than the other candidates. I would have, and did in 2016 vote for Hillary Clinton for the same reason.
I don't vote with my emotions. I vote based on a combination of factors including a person's record, positions, and values, as far as can be discerned. People who vote for the likes of Greene, Boebert, Gohmert, etc... are voting purely on their emotional state and desire to "stick it to the liberals".

End of the line.
