Note to invading armies around the world...

The weapons that were used to fight "set piece" WW2 style battles (tanks, artillery, planes, aircraft carriers, etc) are not that useful in an invasion with an dedicated resistance in the asymmetric war that follows.

Witness Iraq, Afghanistan (twice), Ukraine.
