Is there a Brutus to Putin's Ceasar?

Perhaps a squad led by a modern day Yakov Yurovsky?

For the relatively small numbers of overt protesters in Russia it is safe to assume they represent many more. For the intelligence chief to start to contradict Putin, even as he back away when challenged, speaks volumes. For all the reports of an increasingly isolated and increasingly paranoid Putin, it is becoming a bit less opaque that his grip on power may be degrading.

I'm sure he has always had such people. He's a very paranoid type, with good reason. nt Hekate Feb 2022 #10

But now that you mentioned it, it makes me rather concerned about Zelensky's safety who has to deal with more chaotic circumstances compared to the security Putin is currently enjoying.

never was likely. He has chosen to sacrifice himself for his people. If he does survive--and is not locked up--it will be a miracle and he will be a hero.

Here we consider someone a hero if they'll risk their job to tell the truth about an election. Ukrainians are showing us a whole other level of hero. (Though I'm grateful our heros are sticking up for their heros, much needed right now)

by so many people who have good reason to want to kill you, maybe we don't have to call it paranoid.
