Ukraine official says Russian troops approaching Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
(Reuters) - Russian troops are approaching Ukraine's nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia and have aimed their rockets at the site, Vadym Denysenko, an adviser to Ukraine's interior minister, said on Saturday.
Russia has already captured the defunct Chernobyl plant, some 100 km north of Ukraine's capital Kyiv.

Russian military threatens Ukraine nuclear power plant
The Russian military is threatening a nuclear power plant in Ukraine amid the ongoing invasion in the country.
Russias military presence has increased near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which resides in a town in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraines ministry of internal affairs has reported.
Russian forces have aimed one of their deadliest weapons, a multiple rocket launcher called "Grad," at the nuclear power plant, according to the ministry.
Ukraine has reached out to the international community about the danger while the ministry of internal affairs says the Ukrainian military is heading to the region to defend the plant.

thats a little like telling Pandora that she wont get any allowance until she gets everything back in the box.
The Chernobyl accident appears to have resulted in the thousands or even tens of thousands, the contamination of a huge area, and radioactivity even spreading to western Europe and the U.K. And that was due to the destruction of one reactor; bombing a plant would likely cause that, or worse, happening to several reactors at the plant.
NATO needs to make it clear that any such action would be tantamount to detonating a nuclear weapon, and would be dealt with accordingly.
