As Russia finds taking Ukraine harder than they thought

I fear what Putin will do.
I think in the end this will be a failure for him. There is no way for him to take and occupy Ukraine without a cost Russia will be unwilling to pay.
But in the short term there is no way now for him to withdraw and without looking weak. He will never let this be a Russian defeat.
I fear he would first escalate to a brutal and devastating attack. If he leaves, he would make Ukrane pay first in blood.

but I too fear that he is going to bomb the hell out of Ukraine's 2 major cities from a height where Stinger missiles won't be effective.

Once Ukraine gets a stockpile of Stingers and Javelins the fight is going to even up a bit.

So glad we prayed for Ukraine today in church and there was even a hint for politicians to support the people of Ukraine, which I of course, took it to be a shot at Republicans. I live in a Trump town but I talk with our monsignor a lot and he is definitely not a Trumper.

He gives them digs in his sermons every so often.

This is his legacy and if he can’t have it he *may* make sure no one can or not like it is. Very dense population and he could level it out of spite and punishment.

the man has lost his mind. yes, he was always a sociopath, etc. but i take reports that he has changed very srsly. we HAVE TO learn to recognize megalomania/psychopaths, and find ways to counter their 'charms'.
imho, a big part of that is not being able to accept reality. like tdfg, pootie has come unhinged, w his insane made up history, his own reality.
it's a critical distinction, and we need to learn to make it.

there's certainly no stopping it now.
