1. Take into account all the wars fought around the world in that time

and it doesn’t speak well of humans at all. It’s gotta be well into the hundreds, no matter the criteria for war one uses.

2. I turn 70 this May...

Harry Truman was still POTUS.
The Korean War was still in progress.
The B-52 was in its first test as a strategic long range bomber.
American technology was accelerating at a fast pace.

Russia as a military power since the ending of WWII still is a world-wide problem.I have no answers to make it any different.

4. I'm turning 70 in a week

My parents were refugees from Estonia and most of their families were behind the Iron Curtain. Never met my two grandfathers because of that.
