Dee Snider (singer of Twisted Sister) making us all proud

Dee Snider @deesnider
People are asking me why I endorsed the use of "We're Not Gonna Take It" for the Ukrainian people and did not for the anti-maskers. Well, one use is for a righteous battle against oppression; the other is a infantile feet stomping against an inconvenience.

That statement clearly explains both situations, especially the "infantile foot stomping" part.

A lot of songs are about standing up to abuse and injustice...with a bit of rage thrown in.

Way back in the 1980s he spoke out against censorship and testified in Congress, along with Frank Zappa and John Denver.

"everybody in this room is wearing a uniform, and don't kid yourself." _FZ on stage recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England on June 6, 1969.

and I'm referring to Frank wearing the appropriate uniform for what ever was appropriate for the venue. Therefore, smartly dressed and groomed to better communicate with a Congressional committee threatening your livelihood and free speech itself. He was a self described "Constitutional Fundamentalist."

and, for the DU crowd, it was thrilling to hear Rachel Maddow a few years back refer to "Frank Zappa, the GREAT Frank Zappa" as she played the part PMRC Hearings where he made Paula Hawkins, Senator from Florida look like an idiot. LESSON ONE: Do not match wits with Frank Zappa!

-90% Jimmy

and Dee used to play all the bars up and down Long Island in my teen years of the early seventies..

dismisses the anti-mask nonsense.

Dee Snider, Frank Zappa, and John Denver all spoke brilliantly that day at the PMRC hearings. When John Denver turned out to be on the same side as Snider and Zappa, the change in the expressions on the faces of the committee was just priceless.

Perfect..Infantile feet stomping is an apt description of the right-wing temper tantrums. Another way of showing that the right is wrong.
